The Mussar of Order with Marilyn Paul, Ph.D.
in association with the Kirva Institute of Boston
• Are you overwhelmed by clutter or over-commitment?
• Do you keep saying to yourself “I’ve got to get organized!”?
You will learn to use the tools and teachings of Mussar, a Jewish approach to personal development, to gain some traction in this challenging practice of creating order. We can draw on centuries of wisdom to help us create more clarity in our minds and personal environments.
In this two-session class, we will build on the approaches and practices of Mussar: hitlamdut, being a learner; nekudot behira, choice points; and kabbalot, daily practices that enable awareness and change.
You are welcome to join the group as a beginner in Mussar, an experienced Mussar practitioner or even a Mussar teacher. There will be value in these sessions for people of all levels of Mussar experience.
Marilyn Paul, Ph.D. has been studying Mussar with Rabbi David Jaffe of the Kirva Institute for seven years. She has co-developed the Mussar Approach to Leadership at Gann Academy and has led a well-received webinar The Mussar of Order for the Mussar Institute. She is the author of international best seller It’s Hard to Make a Difference When You Can’t Find Your Keys: The Seven-Step Path to Becoming Truly Organized.
